This morning I’ve been working on a presentation for the hip “Presbyterian Women” of Clairmont Presbyterian; they’ve asked for some reflections on the crisis of a younger generation steadily “losing its religion” and what the church can do in response. (If you’d like to attend this dinner gathering on Tuesday, May 21, at 6pm, at Clairmont Presbyterian Church, send a note to Anne Kilpatrick at firstname.lastname@example.org.)
In an effort to show that my generation may be losing its religion but not its sense of humor, I’ll be sharing this cartoon, compliments of CartoonChurch, which features six helpful tips for encouraging people to leave church. If your church is so fun that people don’t want to leave the building, consider trying one or more of the tactics below. In the meantime, if you’ve got more tongue-in-cheek suggestions to add to this list, send them my way. I’ll republish them!
