November 6, 2009 I received an email. It said the following:
“My name is Timothy Lin, and I am the Kansas Area Director for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.  We're currently hiring for a position at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, and was wondering whether you'd be interested in learning more.”

Yesterday, just under a year later, I rode by unicycle on Kansas streets for the first time. I visited campus, and talked with students, and met with pastors to plan the future of this new ministry.
Thank You. This ministry would have been impossible without your prayers and support. Those of you who have donated financially have provided the essential lifeblood enabling me to move across country and live in this environment; and all of you, by believing in me and praying for me, have contributed towards the ministry by empowering me to be the person I am, and do what I’m doing.
Of course it’s not time to declare victory yet. The ministry is still underfunded and underattended. Our work here is just beginning, but it’s appropriate to celebrate. God’s plan has come to fruition, It’s official, this is happening!
Please be in prayer for Sarah and Liz, our student leaders, as they get to know me and join me in reaching this campus.
And please do not hesitate to call with any comments, concerns, ideas, or resources you may have. My phone is still (949) 689-4178 and I’d love to hear from you.
