Here’s today’s dispatch from the crossroads of faith, media and culture.

One Christmas Story: People Rich in Spirit will feature the diverse congregation of the aptly-named Hope Lutheran Church as, through Scripture and song, they celebrate the true meaning of Christmas in one of financially-struggling Reading, PA’s poorest neighborhoods. The hour-long commercial-free special, produced by Odyssey Networks,  is set to air on CBS at 11:35 PM (ET) on Christmas Eve.
