Slavery and the Bible III

posted by Cheryl Petersen

Mass consciousness is veering away from norms as recorded in the Bible. And, I find it is self-sabotaging to assume humanity is sliding backward into a disobedience to Bible instruction. The veering comes in the form of women gaining equality […]

Slavery and the Bible II

posted by Cheryl Petersen

A literal interpretation of the Bible is moot next to the fact that human slavery was deemed the norm throughout most of the recorded history. The world has recognized the incompatibility of slavery and societal wellbeing and legislation is passed […]

Slavery and the Bible

Bible readers almost have to be mental contortionists to glimpse the poignancy and spiritual power of what we call Scripture. I’m not talking about the poignancy of melodrama or the power to control others, but the tenderness and might of […]

Find a partner for right reasons
Millions of people are looking for a partner. Why this rampant pursuit? I only ask that because this phenomenon isn’t new. Being a Bible reader, I recall the first chapter of Genesis reiterating a spiritual view of creation. The picture actually portrays an ongoing revelation of good, rather th
