I just received a call from a friend who broke off a close relationship. I love them both and don’t want them to hurt.

I also just read about a U.S. soldier who turned himself after killing 16 people in an Afghan Village, mostly women and children, for no apparent reason.

I’ve never been able to shake the belief that truth and love will always ultimately win, but in the meantime, my heart can cry a boat load of tears and ask, Why the horribleness and hurt?

Then I think of people like Christ Jesus or Louie Zamperini, an Olympic runner turned Army hero who endured brutalities unspeakable and went on, after a conversion under the ministry of the Reverend Billy Graham, to become an inspirational speaker. And, I think of Christ Jesus who showed how divine Spirit overcomes the flesh, Love beats hate, and divine Mind gives us the strength to follow through on the winnings.
