have fun

“‘Have fun’ is my message. Be silly. You’re allowed to be silly. There’s nothing wrong with it.” – Jimmy Fallon

Like most, you want the most out of life and having fun isn’t high on your to-do list. But somewhere deep inside you are aching to play – to play like a child and not have a care in the world. But how can you make time for fun when you are so busy?

Luckily the answer may be easier than you think.

Rather than gauge your level of fun by how many expensive toys you have or the number of zumba classes you do, how about just allowing a little time to kick back and free your mind of what’s complicated to squeeze in some simple fun.

For instance —

1. Try and do something completely new. You can’t compare a new and enjoyable experience if you have never done it before. It can be invigorating and eye opening but the best thing about it is – you may really like it or be good at it. That way you will want to do it again and suddenly it could be a new and exciting thing in your life.

2. Take the plunge. It doesn’t have to be a leap of faith but if you are prepare to add a whole new life experience then be prepared to let it change your life in some way. If it has a challenging element to it, then so much the better. This will make your new choice a real experience and if it asks you questions then you may surprise yourself with how well you can cope with it.

3. Treating yourself. This is an easy option but often overlooked or passed over because of time management challenges. If you know you are due for a treat then don’t scrimp. It can be very fulfilling to not just pamper yourself, but to recognize you have made the effort and time to allow such indulgence.

4. Laugh and dance. Ditch the zumba for a free style dance around your home to your favorite tunes. Forget the moves just go with it while doing some easy chores.

5. Share your passion. This can be a blog, a hobby, or even a letter to your favorite magazine — do something that makes you excited! You’ll never know how far it will go and your passion may help someone along the way.
