Summer Solstice and a New Day

It’s a special day, not only is it the last day of spring and the first day of summer, there’s big change in the air – at least with me.

After over 12 years writing daily columns and blogs for Beliefnet, I’ve decided to move on. I want you to be among the very first to know.

After June 30, I will no longer be on Beliefnet.com. I’ll still be available on the Internet though, on my JesusPrayerMovie.com website.

I encourage you to join me there, as many of you already have. We publish a regular newsletter in connection with “Mysteries of the Jesus Prayer,” we have regular free words of wisdom, stories and teachings from saints and sages, and right now — a survey running where you might be chosen at random to win a copy of my book, DVD and/or a CD.

Take our survey (only a few minutes worth of your time), and join my JesusPrayerMovie.com newsletter.

I do hope that this will be a good change for you and yours. I’ll try to keep in touch at your new website. I’ll miss the exercise, recipes and weight loss advice you have given on a daily basis. Blessings. You will surely be missed!!!

It’s All Alright
If ever you are worried, fearful, or think that things are not all right, hand it over to God. Put your problems into God’s infinite care.  Hold up the troubles so that God can see them.  He will see your good intentions and efforts to do what is right, be your best, and be good to others.

Weight Loss: Eat Less? Exercise More? Do Calories Count?
It’s not just how much we eat, it’s WHAT we eat that affects our weight.  Those who eat more vegetables, fruits and whole grains gain less weight, and maintain weight loss better than those who eat a lot of carbohydrates, potatoes, starches, and meats, and drink a lot of sweetened sodas.  It

Blessed Assurance
“The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself,” said President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the worst moment of the depression in the 1930’s.  He was right. Fear is not always useful.  It often just gets in the way. Sometimes, our natural instinct of fear is helpful, such as to avoid fa
