There is good news for coffee drinkers, especially men who drink more than six cups a day. A new study from the Harvard University School of Public Health conducted by researcher Lorelei Mucci and colleagues, studied data collected from 47,911 U.S. men on several issues of health between 1986 and 2008. This news is reported first in the May 17 issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.

They studied coffee consumption, among other points, and the results are very hopeful. The most coffee drinking men, six or more cups every day, were almost 20 percent less likely to develop any form of prostate cancer. The major coffee drinkers were also 60 percent less likely to develop prostate tumors.

So have another cup of coffee. Just don’t have too much, which is always a point of question.
