Every night, before I go to bed, I say the Lord’s Prayer, and I love it.  I get all happy at that glorious moment between consciousness and sleep.  Prayer is the bridge for me: taking me from on to off, in the hands of God at all times.

I love love love to pray.  I love to meditate.  Prayer is the way that God and I communicate, or rather, I remember that God is there – in me and in His creation.  Saying prayers makes me happy.  Feeling God, hearing God, makes all right.

I’ve learned many prayers over the years.  They all work.  One in particular, a very ancient one that possibly began with the Apostles, I learned fairly recently, is amazing.

It’s called THE JESUS PRAYER.  I love it so much; I’ve spent the last few years making a movie and writing a book about it, titled Mysteries of the Jesus Prayer.  My film and book will be coming out early next year.  Please take a look at a new website I’ve made with the help of a large team of people, and my colleague, V. Rev. Dr. John McGuckin.  It’s at www.MysteriesoftheJesusPrayer.com

The Jesus Prayer is simple.  Here’s the short version of it:  Kyrie Elesion.  Or “Lord Have Mercy.”

I’d love for you to join me on this journey of prayer.  Please visit my new website to learn more about the ancient prayer, and how it came to be.  Please register and subscribe to hear more as details unfold.  There are many versions of this prayer, and meditations, chants, homilies, games, and absolutely amazing pictures of art and ancient religious sites and monasteries.

And please tell your friends about prayer, and also about Mysteries of the Jesus Prayer.

Please visit our brand-new website, and join our special group — Friends of Mysteries of the Jesus Prayer.  There you will find scenes from the upcoming movie, games, words of wisdom and advice from spiritual masters, and a community of people of faith.
