I find the best way to move on and recover from low self-esteem, is to get moving. Wrap yourself around a project.  Get work done.  Distract yourself.

If you feel that you’re worthless, try doing something that can show yourself as valuable and competent.  Even little things are good proof: getting a bill paid on time, doing laundry, arriving at your job on time (or even early).

If you feel you’re unsuccessful, try identifying something in the past that you did that helped someone.  Doing a favor for a friend, running an errand for someone, being a good listener are good examples.

If you feel stupid or uneducated, remind yourself that you’re taking the time to read this – you are educating yourself, working to be better.  That’s valuable!  How many people take the time for self-improvement?  Not many, and certainly not enough.

Whatever you do, once you have identified the feeling, honored its existence, and then moved on – let it be in the past.  Remember it’s just a feeling, it’s not a truth.

You are important, valuable and belong in this world.  God created you, so you’re important to God, and to His creation.

PLEASE COMMENT and share some ways you are helpful to others, competent, smart, and taking the time to learn and be your best self.  That will help others just hearing about the steps you’ve taken to feel better about yourself.  (All of us have low self-esteem feelings, you’re not alone.)
