Even though you may be struggling with life problems as all of us are, please remember that all is not lost, nothing is impossible, and hope lives.  Why?  There is hope because we believe in and love God.

You may have some serious physical problems: overweight or obesity, trouble breathing, joint or muscle pain, addiction, or any of a myriad illnesses or a chronic or terminal disease.  The physical body is always changing, aging, and often needs repair.  This is the nature of bodies.

Perhaps you have emotional crises: past traumas or abuse, dread or despair, depression, or struggle with an emotional illness.  Because we have minds and emotions, there are ups and downs.  This is the nature of minds and psyches.

There could be financial problems: unemployment, not enough income, high expenses, medical bills, tax trouble, too much debt or imminent foreclosure.  Financial stress is nothing new; it’s existed since the dawn of time.

Relationship and life problems can tax on the mind and psyche, too: loneliness, constant arguing, separation, problems with children, unresolved family tensions, abandonment, and too much work.  As we are creatures of community and cannot live alone, we are subject to the complexities of interaction.  To be loved by others also entails that we risk being hurt.

No matter what the problems or challenges are in your life please remember these important points and say them aloud to yourself (and others, too) regularly:

— I am God’s creation.
— God loves me.
— I am important and belong in this life.
— No matter how hard and how painful things appear, my life is precious and sweet.
— Because I am with God, I am never alone.
— God is here right now, there is hope, and all things are possible.
— I am not giving up because I am living my whole life with God.

Please come back to this page tomorrow, as I plan on having some further thoughts and suggestions for you.

Post comments!  Share your hope with us, please!
