What blessings are there in your life?  What’s really going well and right that you are thankful for?  Please tell us below by posting a comment.  I have found that counting my blessings and sharing them with others really helps me stay focused and calm.

This morning I woke up too early, thoughts and fears spinning in my head.  “What if…” kept coming up, and the answer was never positive.  “What if I overeat and gain weight?”  “What if there’s not enough money because the economy is in trouble and I lose my job, or… or….”  Somehow my sleepy half-awake, fearful unconscious mind couldn’t rally my conscious overcoming positivity mechanisms.

So there I was, in bed, all a-flitter.  So I prayed, and gave God my praise and trust that all would be OK with Him, as I know things always are.  Then, I felt a strong urge to count my blessings.

“I love God, and He takes care of me and my family, I have a roof over my head, I have a little talent and experience, and I am working hard, and I can continue to make a living.”  I started with the big ones.  Then continuing on, like counting sheep, I drifted back to sleep, safe and sound, and loved.
