Feeling a little down after the Thanksgiving holiday?  Turkey’s done, family and friends gone away, back at work, back to the same old grind?

Go outside, move and breathe.

I think that using your body, being physical and getting the blood and oxygen flowing is one of the best ways to handle difficult moods.

Why spend any time thinking about getting some exercise and play?  Just go do it.  Get up, right now, and start.  Go for a walk putting some vigor into every step.

At work?  Instead of a coffee break, take a breathing break.  Go out for a 10-minute hike around the building, or through the parking lot.  Move as fast as you can, taking care to be safe and not overdo it, but also taking care to really energize your body.

It’s easier than you think to get up and go.  You will feel wonderful afterwards, and want to move some more soon.  Then by all means, go move some more.

Dash-off a comment below about your dash:  tell us how it made you feel, to get up and move.
