I saw my father flying up into the sky like the space shuttle. He was soaring like a rocket, up to the stars. The force and the light were extraordinary. I felt his joy and freedom, and I was so happy for him. A week later, my father passed away from this life expression.

This moving dream report was shared by a woman in one of my workshops. We all shared in her joy as she recalled her amazement and delight at watching her father take off on his great adventure.

At the time of her dream, her father was very frail; his body was failing him. Through the dream, she was able to share the exhilaration of being  liberated from a worn-out body, able to fly free, like a rocket man. The dream prepared her, and helped her prepare the family, for her father’s passing. When that came a week later, there was a sense of blessing and deep comfort, a certain knowledge that in leaving one life, her dad was entering a larger one.

I have heard many thousands of dreams, and recorded many thousands of my own. Yet I never cease to feel wonder and gratitude for all that our dreams will give us, if only we will pay attention.
