On Saturday, the church is beatifying for the first time a journalist — Manuel Lorenzo Garrido, known as “Lolo” — and the video below is a poignant look at his life and work.

What about Bl. Titus Brandsma?
[Okay. First LAY journalist :-) I think it’s fair to say that Bl. Titus’ was first and foremost a priest, not a journalist. But you have a point, IC. Dcn. G.]
