The Deacon's Bench

The Deacon's Bench

Blushing in the blogosphere

Several people e-mailed me to say, “Hey, did you know you’re in NCR?”

No!  But I’m humbled and delighted to be mentioned in some exalted company in this piece by Heidi Schlumpf.  Thanks for the props!   Check out some of the other bloggers she mentions, too.  It’s a great group.

I’m just finishing a wonderful and effective visit to the Vatican; here’s a “small world” coincidence: I had dinner tonight with NCR’s John Allen.
Deacons “stirring the pot”!

Nice plug, Deacon!
While I think it’s good that NCR is checking out blogs, I think a stronger piece could have been written. (Getting some figures on site traffic may have helped.)
Also, both The Anchoress and Amy Welborn are important voices in the Catholic blogosphere and both have been ignored here.
