Feel the goosebumps: stunning ordination video

From, of course, the amazing wizards at Brooklyn’s beloved Grassroots Films. Want to see what New Evangelization looks like? This is it. Big time. God bless GF founder Joe Campo and his amazing crew.

I was just praying about this a few minutes ago. After seeing this video, I think I will contact my vocation director. I think God wills me to be a priest, and I wish to do His will.

Seems a little desperate when they start making a "recruiting video" worthy of an NCAA sports program.

It doesn't seem desperate at all. It seems savvy and smart.

This was really great, well done. Another awesome video to check out is Portland Oregon's ordination last in June. one was also professionally done and quite simply moving.

Grassroots and Joe Campo have done it again. May God bless NYC and the CFRs (2/5 of the ordinandi) with more vocations. Fruit will be born of the good leadership in NYC and vibrant vocations with the Franciscans of the Renewal and the Sisters of Life, and the archdiocese.

It comes as a pleasant change to see the immensely rewarding sense of joy and happiness that can be gained from responding favourably to a calling to a priestly vocation.

This brought tears to my eyes. It really emphasized the fact that this is a mission, a battle, and nothing to be taken lightly, but it also conveyed the fact that with this battle will come the greatest joy possible here on earth — the joy of knowing one is fighting the good fight and saving souls.

I was feeling a little disconnected this morning – and then I saw this. The joy in the eyes of those 5 men is absolutely stunning and brought me to joyous tears!God bless and keep us all – but especially those who have the courage and commitment to give their lives to God.

Big day in the Big Easy: 10 new deacons
Deacon Mike Talbot has the scoop: 10 men today were ordained as Permanent Deacons for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. This group of men was formally selected on the day the evacuation of New Orleans began as Hurricane Katrina approached. The immediate aftermath of the storm for this class would be

"Gesu Bambino," anyone? This is one of my favorites, and nobody does it better than these gals: Kathleen Battle and Frederica von Staade. Enjoy.
