With so much attention over the last few days being directed at the anniversary of Humanae Vitae a certain amount of attention should also go to the woman pictured on the left.

She is Mrs. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood.

I discovered the other day a rare television interview with her — and it bears watching. It’s from Mike Wallace’s old TV show in the 1950’s, and it’s almost impossible to find conversation this thoughtful on television anymore. The interview ranges from a discussion about birth control, to the Catholic Church, to natural law, infidelity and sin.

It also includes some eye-popping commercials for cigarettes.
