File this under “things your kids will think is hilarious”: According to this article in the Daily Mail, the photographer David Slater was visiting a national park in Indonesia. He left his camera unattended. There was a group of crested black macaque monkeys nearby.

What happened next is something I may have once seen in a Curious George book. One of the macaques, a female, got her hands on the camera, noticed herself in the lens, start playing around with the buttons, and took some self-portraits.

Either Slater uses a really intuitive camera, or that is one talented monkey.

Seriously, none of my self-portraits ever turns out that good.
