I’ve been getting ready for tomorrow’s New Moon in Aries for what feels like weeks! And that’s because it’s all about ME ME ME. OK, well, it’s also about YOU.

The Full Moon in Aries on Wednesday, April 10 is a fiery lunation that gives everyone the right to be selfish for a spell. And I don’t mean that in a bad way — I mean that it’s just meant to get people focused on their own needs for a couple of weeks so we can all take charge of our lives.

That has to happen every once in a while, right? Right!

This Full Moon is a chance to jump-start our lives in all kinds of exciting new directions! Things you might normally be afraid to do will seem easier now, and you’ll have the energy and spirit to start new things, end bad things, try different things — however you want to use this power.

I read that this New Moon is so strong we might even do impulsive things that are out out-of-character, and some of them could backfire if we’re not careful. So the thing to do is seize this energy to take a leap, but also look before we leap.

My New Moon in Aries Horoscope for Gemini says this New Moon takes place in my 11th House of Groups, which means we Geminis can expect to see the most excitement in our groups of friends, co-workers and teammates.

Sounds like this is the time for me to start planning all my summer group backpacking trips, and maybe I can finally get together with my girlfriends and put those plans in motion for the cat fashion boutique -slash- Keanu Reeves poster shop we always talk about.

OK, just kidding, that’s still a stretch. (Although if the economy were a little better, I’m sure there would be a huge market for such amazeballs one-stop shopping). But you know what I mean — it’s time to make things happen! Let’s get to it!

Weekly Astrology for April 8-14, 2013If you’ve been waiting for something exciting to happen, this could very well be your week!

There’s a New Moon in fiery Aries on Wednesday that’s supposed to push us forward; then Pluto goes retrograde on Friday, turning us inward; and Mercury blasts into Aries on Saturday, empowering our words.

You still with me? It’s kind of a lot to take in all at once, but the overall gist is that life is going to get busy this week — in both mind and body.

It’s quite possible we’ll be presented with new romantic and creative opportunities this week that could change our lives, so my advice is to keep on your toes and stay open — this is a week when acting impulsively could bring real benefits.

Of course, the words of caution around this week are to just think twice before you speak or act so you don’t do or say anything you’ll come to regret.

Maria DeSimone has the deets on all these events over at Tarot.com so you’ll know exactly how to handle this week’s enthusiastic energy. Good luck!

Weekend Love HoroscopeWe’re coming up on a super-sexy weekend, my friends!

All the astrologers seem to agree that Friday will be fun and flirty, and not to be taken seriously in matters of the heart … but hold on!

It’s Saturday that’s special. The Moon moves into dreamy Pisces and aligns with Neptune in the afternoon, then there’s a sexy Venus-Mars conjunction in the evening.

That adds up to an amazing day for love! Dang, now I’m kind of bummed out that my guy and I aren’t able to have a romantic date that night. But that doesn’t mean YOU can’t!

And if you’re single and hoping to meet someone, this could be the weekend you’ve been waiting for. Take a chance and put yourself out there Saturday night — and let me know what happens!

On Being a Selfish Witch by Maria DeSimone at Tarot.comHmmmmm, interesting. I just read Maria DeSimone’s new blog about how every zodiac sign has a lesson to learn, and she talked a great deal about how selfish Aries is.

That sounds bad, right? Except the way she put it, well, it’s not.

Sure, Aries is fiery and blustery, and they tend to charge ahead with their own wants and needs leading the way, which is indeed a bit selfish. Or at least I always kinda thought so. I don’t have a ton of Aries friends because they often trample right on over my quiet, sensitive nature.

But guess what? It turns out that being selfish is a necessary part of personal growth for Aries. Maria explains that they are selfish because they’re learning to be self-directed and independent. They are, in fact, supposed to be selfish.

Or maybe Maria’s just saying that to defend herself because she has so much Aries energy. Ha! Just kidding, Maria. I get where you’re coming from.

I’m trying to talk Maria into writing another article about the important life lessons for every sign, and I’ll let you know when that’s done. I’m dying to know what my Gemini lesson is — somehow I think it has something to do with mind control, lol. In the meantime, see what Maria says about Aries.

Do YOU know any Aries who seem selfish? Maybe you should read this and cut ’em some slack.
