Jesus rebuked [the unclean spirit within a man], saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” (Mark 1:25)

In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is portrayed as if he is making a military assault on the forces of evil, casting out demons and confronting the powers of Satan.

What are the evil forces in today’s world that Jesus wishes to assault? Which ones concern you the most? How can you participate in that assault so that it is clear that not self-righteousness but love is the motive?

And what about your own life, which Jesus also wishes to rid of evil? Where is he making an assault in your soul, and how might you clear the way for him to cast that evil out of your life?
