I should mention of course that there are some healthy fears; after all, this is how our intuition keeps us intact. And if your life goal involves changing the world, fear is not an unreasonable response at first (especially if you’re a woman). Any kind of change carries a price, but it costs far more to live timidly. Even if your journey doesn’t involve risking your life or overthrowing your government–it could start, say, with teaching your children everything you know about hope–fear is much easier to overcome when the destination you’ve chosen includes something larger than yourself.

The moment we begin to change, the world begins to change with us. All it takes is a deep breath and the first step. What will you do to make the world a better place?
