On the 14th day of deliberations, a jury found former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich guilty of one count of lying to federal agents. With the jury deadlocked on 23 other counts, the judge declared a mistrial on those charges in Blagojevich’s corruption trial. The jury also deadlocked on all four counts against his brother, Robert Blagojevich of Nashville, Tenn.
Prosecutors want to retry the case against the former governor who faces up to five years in prison for making false statements to the FBI. Prosecutors also plan to retry his brother.
