Fisher-Price “Dawah Doll” brings the deen

Parents are outraged about the messages they’rehearing from a doll. It’s Fisher-Price’s “Little Mommy Real Loving BabyCuddle and Coo” doll.

Some people claim they can hear it mumble “Satan is king” in one track; then clearly speak “Islam is the light” in another.

The Associated Press, among many others, have investigated – here’s their report:

I’ve also uploaded the audio of the Dawah Doll to Listen Islam, for your listening pleasure. Wal-Mart has already pulled it from the shelves, but Target says it’s keeping it in stock, so tomorrow I need to go out and get me one of these babies immediately. Naturally, our corporate pawns at Fisher Price have been instructed to engage in taqqiya and deflect questions about the Dawah Doll:

‘The only scripted word the doll says is ‘mama.'” –Juliette Reashor, Senior Mgr. Public Relations, Fisher-Price

Well done, dhimmi!

Debbie Schlussel is on to us, but no one takes her seriously, so no worries, the grand plan to indoctrinate the toddlers of America is proceeding apace.

All I heard on that track was baby-talk. Clearly my faith is weak.

  • Your Name

and here I was, thinking that this was going to be about Rida-wala Barbie.

I can tell you now that will be the best headline I’ll read all day. Awesome.

  • peace

Hilarious! We’ve gone from listening to rock and roll records backwards to looking for Satan in dolls for toddlers.
OMG – what if, by pulling the doll, Wal-Mart is really doing reverse anti-dawah by making people rush to find them wherever they may be?
    The layers of complexity!

I work at Wal-mart and they still have them on our shelves.

What I heard was not actually clear, but just imagine if it really did say Islam is the light?! I can see why most typical Americans would feel the way they do, but that’s only because the religion is so foreign and scary to them. Maybe instead of just listening to the media, they should find out themselves what is Islam is all about before getting so hasty!

  • Greta

I can see why most Americans would be upset to hear it saying “Islam is the light”, but myself I couldn’t hear it clearly. These comments are from Americans who are unfortunately not educated and are listening to the media in which case is not always telling the truth about Islam. Instead, they should be trying to learn what Islam is all about before acting so hasty.

Much ado about nothing. It really reminds me of my time in a local store’s toy department when the talking Teletubbies dolls arrived. I think it was the red one (Po?) that said faggot faggot.

  • Mariam

The lunatic fringe is alive and well. It’s sad that there are people out there who have nothing better to do other than to make up weird lies involving Islam.

    Thank you, much appreciated!
