Polymers Are Forever

posted by acunningham

plasticdesert.jpgCheck out this depressing, but marvelously executed article on plastic, adapted from Alan Weisman’s book “The World Without Us”, which will be published by St. Martin’s Press this month.
Every bit of plastic ever manufactured is still with us on the earth, and a lot of it is in the ocean.

I agree with your opinion about the plastic. I feel very strongly about nature. The world is fast declining in health. I feel as if sometimes I can hear mother Earth screaming for help but no one listens. You would think with all the in your face scientific facts we have, people would not still be oblivious to the fact that our planet is dieing. Yes, I supose it is quiet convient not to have that pesky insect or animal bothering you but for the price I for one are not willing to pay. The desion has already been made without being asked my opion.I do not know every thing, but for the small 25 years I have been given almost everything I see is polluted. It saddens me for the future generations. I pray they learn from our failures with mother Earth and always remember the price such ignorence cost. The beautiful creations farther GOD gave us but is gone forever.

You won’t miss it because what ever it is will be gone. Camping in Maine will be a memory for those who like the trees and being out side. We can still cope with the insects in different ways. Large cities with tall sky scrapers are like the blocks that a baby puts together. The tower falls. While some of us don’t think of expressing an opinion. Think about the concept of an idea. We all have a choice.

CM's Final Posts: You Can Fill the Space
Eighteen years ago, I wrote an article for a magazine that got me called in for a taped interview with a Fox TV morning news anchor. Being an effective communicator and a skillful public speaker was a dream of mine at the time. And still is. After some 30 minutes of prep with the station's hair-and-

Websites to Visit, Blogs to Read
Here are some blogs and websites I like. It's not a complete list. But it's a start. The first is called New Moon Journal and it is written by Michele Bailey-Lessirard, a life coach, collage artist, and "shamanic astrologer." On the opening page of her site, you'll find a little slide show of her am

And Finally, This:
Place your burden at the feet of the Lord of the Universe who accomplishes everything. Remain all the time steadfast in the heart, in the Transcendental Absolute. God knows the past, present and future. He will determine the future for you and accomplish the work. What is to be done will be done at
