I think we’ve lost our minds. These items just scream cultural blindness. When anyone can make a buck off T-shirts emblazoned with “Mecca, USA” how can anyone then ask “Why do they hate us?” Connect the dots. Better yet, read Lawrence Wright’s book.>

This type of stuff is no worse than the suggestive language and messages on tee-shirts worn by pre-teen and adolescent girls, which I find even worse.>

I agree with both of the above. But mostly, I think we have lost all perspective about what’s appropriate. Offensive to some, funny to others, these things are totally lacking in any sense of good taste.>
