What Keeps You Alive?

posted by chattering mind

God does not die on that day when we cease to believe in a personal deity, but we die when our lives cease to be illuminated by the steady radiance, renewed daily, of a wonder, the source of which is beyond all reasoning.

Dag Hammarskjold, (1905-1961) Swedish political leader and Secretary General of The United Nations.

This is beautifulquote. I’ve been trying to change my view of life from that of a journey of marked by acquisition to a school for my soul. What keeps me alive so to speak is the drive to learn this life’s lesssons. When I return to God in my true nature as that of an eternal soul, I want to be able to say or hear that I have in fact learned the lessons of love, compassion and forgiveness.>

What always reminds me of God is the finches I feed in my back yard. I buy “socks’ filled with thistle seed & hang them everywhere (on the deck in winter–they’re too messy in summer). I just washed & sewed a hole up in a couple & refilled them yesterday. Anyway, HOW do they know when to get drab dreary colors (in fall) & get bright & colorful in the spring?? Same with the “March of the Penguins” movie–who “programs” these birds to do this?!! GOD, of course!! Deb Ramage>

I will remember that quote for always. Another saying I have read is that God does not leave us, we leave God.That makes God so real to me. Knowing that God is alive and well, and loves me no matter what keeps me alive. I “talk” to him just like a friend, and that way he is more personal to me.>

CM's Final Posts: You Can Fill the Space
Eighteen years ago, I wrote an article for a magazine that got me called in for a taped interview with a Fox TV morning news anchor. Being an effective communicator and a skillful public speaker was a dream of mine at the time. And still is. After some 30 minutes of prep with the station's hair-and-

Websites to Visit, Blogs to Read
Here are some blogs and websites I like. It's not a complete list. But it's a start. The first is called New Moon Journal and it is written by Michele Bailey-Lessirard, a life coach, collage artist, and "shamanic astrologer." On the opening page of her site, you'll find a little slide show of her am

And Finally, This:
Place your burden at the feet of the Lord of the Universe who accomplishes everything. Remain all the time steadfast in the heart, in the Transcendental Absolute. God knows the past, present and future. He will determine the future for you and accomplish the work. What is to be done will be done at
