Warning! Christian TV programming ahead

posted by mattaug

ABC Family deserves credit for airing 700 Club.

Let’s start with that point.

However, there is a “warning” that airs before and after the program that the show “doesn’t necessarily reflect the views of ABC Family”.

Ashton Kutcher

I know … gosh forbid the network stands behind a program that actually promotes good values and content.

I get it, though, as the network doesn’t want to offend non-Christians or infer that it stands for Christian values … not with so many religions out there.

It is ironic, though, the network shows a similar warning prior to broadcasting That 70’s Show at 3p ET.

The message pretty much reads “some of the content in this show may not be appropriate for younger viewers”.

Oh yeah … ABC Family… then what the heck in the name of Ashton Kutcher is the show doing on in the early afternoon, when so many youngsters are home from school?

I’m afraid a message can’t cover everything ABC Family.

The fact you air 700 Club … is a good thing.

That 70’s Show at 3p, or perhaps any time?

Not so good.

Missing Sammy Davis Jr., Twinkies
I just noticed that the late, great Sammy Davis Jr's birthday, Dec. 8, came and went over the weekend. I miss the talented man, who broke down racial barriers through high great singing, dancing and even acting skills. Yes, even the latter, as judged by his appearance on the TV classic "All in
