Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.  Psalm 4:7

Naturally skinny people can by trying at times.  They can eat what they want and never seem to gain an ounce.  I would certainly be happy if I could eat a banana split anytime I wanted with no blubber to show for it, I think.

But does happiness come from food?  True gladness — real joy — comes from God. He has given me something far better than a naturally fast metabolism.  He has given me Himself.  Let’s focus on Him and our happiness will be greater than the “corn and wine” of the scoffers and the banana splits of the skinny folks.

Eating to live and living for Christ,
