Sen. Hillary Clinton just addressed the annaul meeting of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. JTA reports that she reiterated the U.S. commitment to Israel’s security, but also maintained the Obama administration’s position that building Jewish housing in Palestinian areas “undermines America’s unique ability to play a role” in the peace process. As for the Palestinians:

Clinton also criticized the naming of a Palestinian square after a terrorist and the calls by some Palestinians to “defend” Muslim holy sites from a rededication of a synagogue in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City, calling the latter “purely and simply an act of incitement.”

She concluded her AIPAC remarks by referencing the Jewish holiday of Passover, which starts March 29 this year:

The story of Moses resonates for people of all faiths. It teaches us many lessons, including that we must take risks, even a leap of faith, to reach the promised land.
