Welcome to Becoming Great.  I want to thank you for accepting the invitation to becoming the best version of yourself. Truly in life the best thing you can do for another is better yourself. It shows that it’s possible to grow and change in life. As a Life Coach, many of my clients don’t believe it’s possible for them to be great or to even find a place of happy contentment.  So it’s my job to get them to believe and have faith that things will change for the good if they endure the process.  With this blog I want you to know that anything you seek or desire is possible.  Moreover, there will be some bumps and bruises along the journey, but as long as you stay committed to the process your victory is nigh! For the next few posts I’m going to take you through a step by step process of becoming great.  Question. “How does one even become great?”

Greatness in life is directly related to our growth in life.  They are synonymous.  All growth in life is spiritual growth.  Therefore, greatness is spiritual.  Knowing this we first must know that God created us with greatness inside of us.  Many of us don’t realize this because we are bogged down with the weight of life and circumstance that we are not able to see clearly. The first step to achieving greatness is clarity.  Without clarity you WILL NOT be able to attain anything.  Having a clear mind is concerted effort. We must intently seek it.  One of the best ways to get on the road to clarity is to map out your life.  Literally draw a map of the aspects of your life. For example, if you’re a mother, who works and is also head of the PTA at school, you would draw a circle(insert name) in the middle of the paper and then you would have offshoots from the circle.  Ultimately it would look like a spider. Each offshoot would be an aspect of your life.  Write down the responsibilities of each aspect.  Moreover, write down the problems that come with each aspect.  This is a healthy objective way to see your life and the things that are preventing you from having clarity.  After you’ve created your map, begin to journal about your life and its problems. Journaling, is a spiritual discipline and a cathartic way of leading us to the path of clarity.  As you journal you will discover that somethings that seem out of wack suddenly begin to make sense. Writing provides focus and as your thoughts become more focused your strategies and solutions suddenly appear.  In the next post, I’m going to talk a little more in depth about clarity. Remember you have the ability to not only change your world, but the world as a whole. Be Great !
