I’m sure you’ve wondered many times about what it takes to be wealthier and more successful.

You’ve also most likely thought about how some people are able to achieve a very high level of wealth and success while others don’t.

There are many factors that come into play when it comes to having the type of wealth and success you’re looking for…

But there is one factor that must always be involved above all of the other factors.

And it is this one factor that there is no substitute for which can help you go from where you are now to where you want to
be.

What I am talking about is “persistence.”

Having and being persistent is so important that Napoleon Hill devoted an entire chapter in his book “Think and Grow Rich” to this all important character trait.

Since every human being has every human trait, and persistence is one of these traits, the question is,

“How persistent are you in what you do?”

1. PITA or PITA- People will typically view persistence according to what I’m calling PITA. This will mean Pain In The Ass to
some and Persistence Is The Answer to others. So where am I going with all of this and how can it help you?

I’m sure that you’ve been in situations where someone just seemed to be a little “pushy” but have you ever taken the time to notice that this “pushy” person is being persistent in some way?

Now of course there’s a difference between being “pushy” and not caring about others versus being persistent while caring about helping others.

Let’s face it, we’ve all been persistent in something towards others and they’ve seen it as being pushy. This happens no matter how good your intentions are. The question is, are you going to remain persistent and stick to truly caring and helping others instead of giving up?

Many people do give up after “trying” a few times because they worry about being rejected or what others will say about them. This is where the “other” PITA comes in.

Just know that if you are looking to go from where you are now to where you want to be that Persistence Is The Answer…

However, the important part is to be respectful to others while coming from a place of truly caring and wanting to help others.

2. Two sides of persistence- Just like everything else in the Universe, there are two sides to persistence. Some will view it in a positive way and some see it as being negative. This is what I was referring to earlier when I mentioned about PITA.

In order to achieve what you want in any area of your life, it is vital that you be persistent. There is no substitute for persistence. You cannot substitute something else in place of being persistent…

And just like I mentioned above they’ll always be the two sides of persistence that you’ll be dealing with.

What I mean by this is that some people will see you as being “pushy” while others will see you being persistent in a more positive light.

Your ability to realize and embrace this is vital if you are to master the art of being persistent.

Many times people are afraid of being rejected or having someone tell them “no” and as a result have this sub conscious fear
that holds them back from being persistent.

Like I’ve said numerous times, you’ll have people liking you and disliking you, supporting you and challenging you, being nice to you and being mean to you…

And you’ll also have moments when people will accept you and moments when people will reject you while you’re being persistent.

This is normal and healthy if you are to reap the rewards of what you seek.

3. The reward- Along with the risks, of course there are rewards to being persistent. These rewards will include you achieving the things you would love to have in your life. One of the powerful aspects of you being persistent is that you’ll have a high probability of also being perseverant.

This is important because your ability to be perseverant is what will keep you moving forward no matter what comes your way and as a result you’ll achieve your goals.

I love the quote by John Demartini…

“Perseverance conquers all fears and brings all dreams to our hearts.”

We all have dreams. We all have things we would love to be, do, and have in our lives.

You are all but guaranteed of living the type of life you would love to live as long as you are being persistent in your pursuit.

This is made even more powerful when you are being your true magnificent self while doing what you love.

You have a tremendous amount of value to offer the world through your uniqueness and many times the difference in you having others see that is in your ability to be persistent.

As you go through your day (and life)make it a habit of being persistent in way that helps others and brings out the best in them…

Because this will also help bring out the best in you and you’ll see much more clearly how amazing of a person you really are.
