What I’ll be talking about today is something I haven’t shared too often with you.

In fact, this just so happens to be the most important part of your life to pay attention to. because without it, all else fails.

Of course what I’m referring to is your physical health.

If you want proof of this, look no further than the uproar over health care in the United States.

I can certainly say that this is an area that I value most. For those of you who may not know, I have a background in fitness which has been largely responsible for me getting involved in the personal development and self help industry.

Even with the heightened awareness about being physically healthy, many people still neglect their health.

So what I want to discuss today concerns your physical health and the question…

“How important is your physical health to you?”

1. Your guiding force- The cornerstone of everything you do in your life centers around your physical health. To put it simply, the better your physical health, the higher the probability of you feeling your best. The better you feel, the more energy you have and the more likely you are to succeed in the areas of life most important to you.

Does this guarantee that the results you want will fall out of the sky overnight? Of course not.

But having optimal physical health puts you in a position to get the most out of the other areas of life most important to you.

So many times I see people who appear to be very successful and financially wealthy who are having a number of physical issues. I’m sure you’ve seen this too.

It’s has been shown that people who are having major financial issues tend to have much more physical health problems than those who are having financial success.

What is also interesting is that there are also a great many people that are financially successful who are having major physical issues as well. This ranges from putting in many many hours in their jobs and careers to those who, in extreme cases turn to substance abuse.

In either case, their physical health is neglected and at some point their body is giving them feedback in the form of ailments and disease to do something about it.

If any of this rings true for you in some way, what can you do about it?

2. Running on full- I’m sure many of you have heard the phrase, “running on empty.” I’ve decided to come up with a new one, “running on full.” What I’m referring to here is that of paying close attention to the basics of having optimal physical health which includes, how well do you eat and drink, along with how well you sleep.

In fact, there’s another forgotten one that I’ll be covering in a few minutes as well.

Let me take you back to when I first started out in fitness. I was 15 and lived by a very simple philosophy…eat well, drink water, and get no less than 7-8 hours of sleep per night. I made this to be a major part of my life’s mission because I knew back then that it would be the cornerstone behind everything else I do and the amount of success that comes with it.

At the time it seemed as though I was the only one living this way, especially among the kids I went to high school with but I knew it would pay off.

Why am I bringing this up and how can it help you?

Regardless of your situation right now, make it a point to eat well, drink water, and get no less than 7-8 hours of sleep per night.

If for some reason, you’re having a difficult time with any of these, make it a point to ask yourself how doing this will help you in the areas of life most important to you.

One thing I’ve found to be very interesting is that of the effect of drinking water.

I have a confessing to make…

Water is the only thing I’ve been drinking for the last 5 years. Even before that the only other thing I would drink is an occasional fruit juice.

I’m bringing this up because I’ve noticed that by drinking water only, my memory and energy have skyrocketed. This stands to reason since water makes up 70-80% of the human body.

Now I mentioned earlier about a forgotten factor involved in your ability to have and maintain optimal health. As promised, let’s come back to that now…

3. The forgotten gift- There is something that most people are not aware of as it relates to their physical health. The reason why this goes unnoticed is because it’s something that’s not entirely seen on the outside.

Not only that, but most people have been conditioned to believe that this isn’t involved in determining the state of their physical health. Along with that, we’re actually told to do the complete opposite of what I’m about to reveal.

What I’m referring to is being two sided.

You see, most people are told and are trying to live mostly one sided lives (trying to be more happy than sad, more nice than mean, more giving than taking, and so on). Trying to live this way actually sets you up for the very thing you don’t want to attract. That is based on the laws of the Universe.

Remember, the cells of your body are two sided as well, and since cells make up your being, anytime you try to live in one sided extremes, you have a higher probability of attracting some type of disease or physical ailment.

Many times we go about treating the symptoms of an issue (including physical health issues), rather than treating the actual cause. Keep in mind that I’m referring to situations where an individual appears to be healthy.

What I’m getting at here is for you to be aware of your emotions. It is much wiser to come from and handle situations in a more balanced and poised manner. Of course certain situations may come up that will test you, we all have those moments.

However it is important to be aware of what I’m saying here because it definitely affects your physical health as well.

Live your life and always be aware of this forgotten gift.

Your physical health is precious and something to put a high value on and to make a top priority in your life.

By taking just a few extra minutes each day will save you days, weeks, and even years in many different ways in your life.

Reward your magnificent self and your physical health and it will certainly pay off for you and in ways you never even thought were possible.
