There’s something you know quite well and pay attention to when it comes to going on vacation.

Yet…

That same thing gets forgotten and overlooked most of the time when you’re not going on vacation.

Actually…

There’s two two things.

Before I mention what these are, think about what happens when you go on vacation:

You plan where you want to go and on what dates…
You start thinking about what you’ll be taking with you on the trip…
You’ll have a to-do checklist before the trip…

And this is where the first thing you know quite well…gets overlooked in your life most of the time.

Shortly after this…comes the second thing.

Let’s talk about the first thing…time.

What happens right before you go on vacation…especially the day you’re ready to leave?

You find yourself prioritizing your time so you can get everything done…the packing…making sure you know what time you need to be where…and going through in your mind how you want things to turn out.

Along with this, you’re not wasting any moment because you realize how valuable your time is in order for you to be ready to leave.

Think about this…

What if you treated each day like this?

What would happen when you prioritize your time like this as it relates to how you’d love to live your life?

Now why is it so easy to prioritize your time when it comes to going on vacation…

Yet…

When it comes to planning out your life—these same strategies that help your vacation go smoothly—why does it seem so difficult and frustrating?

To begin with…

It comes down to getting clear on what is truly most important to you…not what you think it is…or what it’s “supposed” to be.

But what it is that you truly “love” doing.

And I’m sure you’ve heard this type of thing before.

I’m sure you may have tried to do something about it and for whatever reason went back to those habits of procrastination you’ve been desperately trying to get rid of.

So what can you do?

Make it a priority to be aware of your time.

Along with this my question to you is:

How much time is left in your life?

Now I know you don’t have the definite answer…no one does.

That’s the point.

And the very reason why it’s wise to treat each day of your life with “healthy urgency”…much like when you’re getting ready to leave on that vacation.

Hold on to this thought for a moment because I want to come back to the second thing I referenced earlier…focus.

When it comes to getting ready for your vacation you’re focused…right?

As a result you get more done in less time…in this case all the packing…the different arrangements needed to be made, and so on.

Well the same is true when it comes to staying focused and getting things done in your life.

And all of this has to do with living according to your highest values…those things most important to you.

That’s why when you’re living a life of “I love tos”, “I”m inspired tos”, and “I choose tos”, you’ll be focused…which results in making full use of your time…getting more done in less time.

This goes back to what I said earlier about having “healthy urgency.”

Of course this doesn’t mean to live in a panic mode.

What it does mean is to be aware that you only have a certain amount of time in your life. And since no one knows exactly how much that is, it’s wise to make the most of your time.

Remember…

Time waits for no one. It’s up to you to maximize your experience…known as life…in this world.

And what does your time stand for?

This
Is
My
Experience

Your life is made up of one experience after another. Each of which involves your time.

And when you value your time others will value you

When others value you they realize how special of a person you are…

Since you’ve already realized how important and special you are to the world.

Your time…just like you…is precious and not something to be taken for granted or forgotten about.

Because…

You are worthy of being remembered, appreciated, and loved for who you are and all that you do.
