When any area of our life appears to be going wrong, we are often convinced that there must be something wrong with us and therefore, there is something about us that we need to fix. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, believing in these ideas just takes us further and further away from the truth of who we are and keeps us in a spin cycle of self judgment, self blame and shame. The most important thing we can do is give ourselves the experience of feeling whole and complete just as we are. We can begin to experience this by simply shining a light on the aspects of ourselves that we have tried so hard to bury and hide out of fear and shame. Our job is not to fix anything, but instead to accept and love all the parts of ourselves that we deemed as unacceptable and integrate them so that we can live in our fullest potential. There is nothing about us that is an accident. Our stories of our past and present, our emotions, thoughts, beliefs, judgments, fears and actions all serve a purpose in helping us to learn and expand. Through loving and accepting these various parts of ourselves, we will notice whether we are heading towards or away from the path of our true self. When we invite all of who we are into our present moment experience, we can then be divinely guided onto a path that is most aligned with our soul. The world is in need of this more than it is in need of anything else right now. It needs us to stand in our most authentic and brilliant self and shine in the totality of our wholeness. And we can only truly shine when we have owned both our darkness and our light and allowed all of who we are to step forward.
