The first week of 2016 is behind us and I’m taking time to reflect on it. Making New Years Resolutions to create change is a common thing to do because we feel like we are given a fresh start. We have our end goals in mind and we do all we can to attempt to accomplish them. The common result is that we will stay on track for a week or a month and then we fall back into our old ways. This usually occurs because we are striving so hard to make changes on the outside of us without changing our inner self. Often what we don’t realize is that our inner self is what created the very things we are wanting to change. So it would only make sense to begin to change from the inside out.

As Albert Einstein says, “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”

If we want to create any kind of change in our lives, we must create a new way of thinking, feeling and behaving. The following are a list of questions that will not only guide you through the changes you are desiring, but will help you stay on track with sticking to them as well. May they serve you and lead you towards your deepest truth.

1. What do you most want to feel this year? (Excited, inspired, joyful, present, on purpose, loving, healthy, powerful)

2. What beliefs will you need to let go of in order to feel these emotions? For example, you may desire to feel joyful, but you may have the belief that says, “happy people are annoying” If you hold this belief, you will never be able to give yourself full permission to feel joy. Get clear on what your beliefs are and let go of any that are not in alignment with what you desire to feel.

3. What actions will you need to take that will align with the feeling that you most desire? For example, if your most desired feeling is joy, what is one thing you can begin doing that will bring you more joy? If your desired feeling is to feel healthy, what is one choice that you can make to increase your health?

It is important to begin from the inside out.  Keep repeating the following questions

“How do I most want to feel this year?

“What beliefs do I have to let go of in order to feel these emotions?”

“What actions do I need to take that will align with my desired feelings?”

Following these steps will guide you to make choices from your truth and if you happen to fall off, remember…life is always giving us the change to begin again. Have a beautiful year and live in your truth.
