Everyone wants to be happy, but happiness is a choice that we make rather than an outcome. We all think “If I could only be married, then I’ll be happy.” Or, “when I can have a child, then I’ll be happy.” We focus on the pursuit of happiness and miss the opportunity to choose at each moment whether to be content in that moment with what exists here and now.

If the opposition of Saturn to Neptune is hitting a sensitive point in your chart you may be feeling unsettled and finding it particularly difficult to find that contentment. While Neptune drives us deeper into our dreams and illusions, Saturn is the wet blanket of disappointment. On a personal level, the combination of these two in the opposition requires balance between Saturn’s discipline and disappointment with Neptune’s desire to escape or transcend the mundane reality in which we make our home on Planet Earth.

I have found some quotes to help inspire me today to look for happiness in this present moment, perhaps you will enjoy them too:

– Burton Hills

Yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling.
– Margaret B. Runbeck

Dreams are renewable. No matter what our age or condition, there are still untapped possibilities within us and new beauty waiting to be born.
– Dr. Dale Turner

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.
– Anonymous

There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward.
