Well well well – our “combat troops” have been removed from
Iraq and the war is over.  

50,000 “advisers’? 
Give me a break.  They exist to prop up the government; essentially like a Roman garrison.  

The war will  be over when we have as many troops in Iraq as we did the day before we started it: none except for maybe a few guards at our embassy. Sort of like Canada’s military presence over here.

On this issue the Dixie Chicks speak for me.

Increasingly I think the US resembles an intergalactic experiment to see just how much willful ignorance at the popular level and utter incompetence at more influential ones can be injected into a society before it collapses. Apparently quite a lot, and the experiment appears to still be under way.
