Fear is the absence of love. When we are connected to our spirit, when we are in communion with the divine we are aware that we are safe because we swim in a sea of love. So, one of the best way to deal with fear is to use it as a signpost that we need to deepen our connection. When we feel fear we are disconnected and when we are connected we feel safe.

We can move away from fear or toward love. They may seem the same but the results are very different. Meditation and prayer defintiely help us move toward love. When you invoke your spirit the connection is there.

People often ask me, how do we invoke our spirit? An invocation is a powerful statement of intent. It is a prayer in which you have no doubt about the outcome.

An invocation can be a simple prayer like: I call upon the power of my spirit to fill me with a profound sense of connection, love and guidance. You can create a ritual around the invocation. You can light a candle or incense or loving place flowers on an altar you have created.

For me the main difference between an invocation and a simple prayer is the power I put behind it. When I invoke my spirit I know the connection is already there. The more time you spend training your mind to let go of your old beliefs and embrace the knowing that the divine realms are always just a thought away the easier it will be to release fear and live in love.

Celebrate fear as an indication you need to stop listening to your mind and reconnect with your spirit.
