Aloha,

I love watching the day as it slowly arrives. The sky begins to brighten and the birds start singing, joyfully greeting a new day. I am in Latvia and my internal clock is still on Hawaii time, so I woke up long before the sun.

Last night I had the opportunity to go to a local Reiki circle. Reiki is a form of healing that originated in Japan. The homes here remind me of the old farm houses in Vermont. The trees are full of apples, and there are so many flowers everywhere. Many of the older homes use wood for heat, so there are huge wood piles stacked neatly under the eves. Latvia reminds me of simpler times when people were more connected to the earth.

As I walk in the pine forests, I can feel the presence of angels and earth spirits. As I watch the dawn, I am once again reminded that each day is a new beginning, a story yet to be written, and I can write anything I want on the pages that follow.

As I sit in the silence of the morning, I say a prayer and ask to be guided so that all my thoughts and actions are loving, and I add more acceptance, happiness, and joy to the world. I also know that I can begin my day anew at any moment. If I have disconnected from my inner angel, I can reconnect and again move forward in love.

As I sat in that Reiki circle last night, I was deeply moved by the love and friendship I felt in that group. As I sit here watching the dawn unfold, I send each of you that sense of love and acceptance I experienced last night.

I wish I could reach out and infuse you with the simple, loving spirit of this land so you could know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are love, you are loved, and you are lovable.

With love and aloha,
Susan
