Angels on Your Shoulder

Angels on Your Shoulder

Wordless Wednesday

posted by Susan Gregg

On Wednesdays, I post an image that you can use as a visual meditation. Years ago I found that one of the most powerful spiritual practices was silence. For a time, I practiced spending at least one day a month in total silence. I was amazed by the results in my life. So on Wednesdays, at least for a few minutes while you look at the images I post, sit in silence and allow the love and wisdom of the universe to fill your heart and your mind.

    Hello Susan,
Thank you for sharing such a nice photo. It reminds me of beautiful Hawaii.
    Aloha!

  • Your Name

SILENCE MEANS NOT QUIETNESS ALL THE TIME.SILENCE SPEAKS MANY THINGS,
LIKE WHEN YOU CAN’T MAKE AN EVENT TO HAPPEN,TAKE SILENT MOMENT AND
USE IMAGINATION TO MAKE IT HAPPEN AND WE CAN EXPERIENCE FULFILLMENT
AND AT LEAST CAN BRING A SMILE ON OUR FACE,SOMETIMES IT IS ENOUGH TO MAKE OUR DAY COMPLETE.

    Hi Susan,
What a beautiful way to start the day, with your beautiful picture of serenity. I firmly believe in Angels and seem to have lost mine at the moment. My life is so stressful right now and has been for a long time. If it’s not from the “pain” I live with everyday, it’s the emotional kind. To find total peace in my life would be a miracle and I could sure use one, as I am so tired.
I don’t live by the beach, but I love sunsets and your picture is so serene and beautiful. I’ve also been to Hawaii, under better times and it’s a beautiful place. Thank you for posting it on your site. I will check your site out, as this is my first time here and hope to see the images of the Angels.
I know that you will have a wonderful day and I pray that I do also.
    Thank you,
    Linda

    Linda and all who commented,
I will send a special prayer for you Linda that you will see the images of angels. Ask and you will receive. I had those trying times too and had difficulty in believing and lost hope. I was tired and thought I needed a miracle. Well, I got mine. I don’t live near the beach either but that is my favorite place. Sometimes I close my eyes and meditate and see myself sitting on the beach and hearing the waves and the birds and I just listen to my heart. Thanks for all the beautiful messages from you all. Your friend Susan

Thank you Susan. Yes sometimes I need a little quiet time and Wednesday seems to be the perfect day of the week to meditate and take it all in. Aloha from Hawaii.

    Dear Susan,
What a great idea and a beutiful picture. Like you, my favorite place is the beach but, I live in the SW Desert. I am going to try to follow your advice. I also am feeling somehow “detached”. What can go wrong, has gone wrong. I need peace not stress.. Bliss not fear.I need to reconnect with my angels. thak you for posting such a beautiful, serene picture. Looking forward to more.. Bless you.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and commenting.
Life certainly is more enjoyable, smoother and easier when we remember to take a few minutes and connect with the divine!
When I was a little girl my mom always told me to take ten deep breaths before I spoke if I was upset. I used to think she was weird but now I know how important those few moments are.
I look forward to many moments spent together with you and to sharing many more almost Wordless Wednesdays!
    With love and aloha,
    Susan

Refelctions on the Vietnam War
I was surprised when I was reminded that it was the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. I was in high school when the war started and much of my early life was lived against the back drop of vivid images of the war every night on the evening news. When I was in college the massacre at Kent State

What love can do ....
Angels are messengers of love ... we can be the person who creates more love with our actions. We can be somebody's angel . . . Here is a 'feel good' video about what a difference a small action can make.

Why angels?
People often want to talk to angels, connect with them or be guided by them. Why? I often wonder why angels? My theory is that people are seeking the love. Angels are never judgmental and they radiate love. As human beings we often forget that we live surrounded by love and that at a core leve

How to talk to the angels
I get asked this question all the time. It really is very easy but our minds can make it so much harder. We can doubt what we are hearing or sensing or feeling. You are always surrounded by angels. The moment you ask them for help they are there. The problem is we often don't let the help in.
