Noahs-Ark.jpgAnswers in Genesis president Ken Ham is currently soliciting donations to construct a full-sized replica of the biblical Noah’s Ark. While the concept is intriguing, the price tag is not. The current estimate is $24.5 million.

In contrast, over 70% of Afghans live on less than $2 per day.

For the same price, donors could feed 33,561 people in Afghanistan for an entire year.

Noah’s Ark=good. Noah’s Ark replica=not good.

Jesus said, “Be generous to the poor” (Luke 11:41, NIV). Enough said.

To help a place really making a difference among those in need, here are some suggestions:

Children’s Rescue Initiative
Compassion
Rice Bowls
World Vision
