Sarah Jessica Parker is an actress most known for her leading role as Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO television series Sex and the City, airing from 1998-2004. Parker was 1 of 8 children born in Ohio and made her Broadway debut at the young age of 11.

Parker has received 10 Emmy and 8 Golden Globe nominations, all for Sex and the City. In 2004, she signed a contract to be the face of clothing company the Gap’s new advertising campaign, which received criticism from the public since the Gap is not a high-end clothing company. People felt as though her high fashion character in Sex in the City did not correlate with style of the Gap’s clothing line. However, the ad campaign was successful and she eventually introduced her own fashion line in 2007.

Parker is currently married to actor Matthew Broderick and they have 3 children together. In addition to living in New York City, they have a second home near Kilcar, a villain in Ireland where Broderick spent summers as a child.
