The Gospel of Thomas and other apocryphal texts were rightly rejected by the early church as deliberate tracts for the various Gnostic sects which sprang up in the First Century. The Jesus of the canonical Four Gospels is not so easily contained or defined.

I think that if Buddhism, Hiduism, and other such religions could move east, why not west as well?
I think a lot of religions have influenced each other more than many want to believe.
