The news stations here have just announced that Jerry Falwell has died at age 73.

I can't say I agreed with his politics or moralizing but hope he is resting in peace in God's arms.

I think it is telling that his death comes when there is a debate in the evangelical movement over its politics. Falwell's method of politics is less influential now than as before.

But ah well, RIP, and see you in heaven, Jerry.
