Satomi -

Yes - I have written a prose (non-rhyming) poem on Conjugial Love about 8 years ago. Here it is:

POETIC EXPRESSION OF HEAVENLY CONJUGIAL LOVE

There is in my heart--my spirit--my soul--the belief that our Lord has caused you to choose to love me.

For I believe He has helped me to penetrate that heart of yours. So that you will take my words and messages into your heart--wrap and clothe them with God's love--given to you--and then return them to me.

And so I am loved with a healing--a most beautiful experience. It will make me only totally whole when you are close to me--and closest of all when you face me and look into my eyes--and me into yours.

You in Heaven are to be my only love. And for now--the present--we must be obedient to the conditions and standards of our Lord for this world. So little to ask--and so great a gift.

You should know that every day I do not see you will be an empty one. I will always delight in your presense--for I am made whole when you are close to me. And I will look forward to your return to me--both in this world and the Eternal Home.

I am limited to giving you a hug--holding your hand. But my spirit is not limited. And already you are inside me--in a way that I love you and thank God at the same time.

I ask our Lord that He fill your heart with increasing and growing love for me. I cannot tell you how your love makes me feel. It is like a man crawling--parched and thirsty--along a barren desert. Unable to get to his feet--to function--to feel--to live--to even hurt. For numbness had replaced pain.

And then, all of a sudden, an oasis--a cool drink of the Lord's love flowing into my heart and mind--all of me. And I say, "Lord, how beautiful is your gift." Yet I cannot contain it. It is a gift--given. I must keep my eyes on You--the Giver--and praise you--and thank you--and serve you as best I can.

So loving you--and being loved--is like a church in miniature--a thanking God for bringing together His love and truth in this relationship.

I thought I would draw on the relationship between the Lord's Prayer, (Matthew 6: 9-13) and conjugial love. Will be using the new Fischer & Hoeck Gospel of Matthew Commentary for Swedenborgian references. As this may be a rather lengthy undertaking, may do this in the form of 3 or 4 messages. To begin let me first reprint the Lord's Prayer itself:

9. Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven.
11. Give us this day our daily bread.
12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from
evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Now, in the following postings, I will share my thoughts and understanding of this prayer as it relates to conjugial love.

As we pray to our Father who art in Heaven, it is very important that we understand who our Father is. He is "The Lord as to His Divine Humanity." We need to address the Lord as He came into the world, was known and died for us.

And when we think of "Hallowed be thy name", the Divine Humanity of the Lord is holy and is to be worshipped. We worship a living God whom we know.

Swedenborg teaches that in Heaven the angels do not think of God the Father because He is invisible, but in the visible God whom there is called Lord and here we call Christ. To thus summarize, we should be praying to the Lord God Jesus Christ, in whom is the trinity. He is the God we know--with whom we may have a personal and intimate relationship. (To be continued). David
