What is the point of The Urantia Book? I mean what is in it that hasn't already been said. Can you believe what it says and still follow a mainstream faith? I am not trying to rip on the book I would just like to know what it is all about.

You questions can be answered by reading the book. For questions about things not covered in the book such as source history and such I can share what I know if you would like me to.

I FAILED TO SEE YOUR RESPONSE, I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS

I wish someone had given me at a young age the keys to life that is available to you in THE URANTIA BOOK.

But the book was not published until 1955 and I was born in 1935. At any rate I would not have been advance enough by 1955 to appreciate it. I ran across the book in a used book store where I lived in Alaska in 1992. When I first started to read it I had difficulty, my mind had not been tuned to learning for some years so I had to start a new, it took considerable effort but I stuck with it until I adjusted.

This passage I'm presenting is my attempt to show a cosmic view that is available in the 196 paper that makes up the book.

P.438 - §5 The erroneous idea that angels possess wings is not wholly due to olden notions that they must have wings to fly through the air. Human beings have sometimes been permitted to observe seraphim that were being prepared for transport service, and the traditions of these experiences have largely determined the Urantian concept of angels. In observing a transport seraphim being made ready to receive a passenger for interplanetary transit, there may be seen what are apparently double sets of wings extending from the head to the foot of the angel. In reality these wings are energy insulators--friction shields .

If you are familiar with the nine level of angles mention in the Bible seraphim are thought to be the highest level.

The Urantia Book is four books the fourth is the life and teachings of Jesus. This passage is Nathaniel asking Jesus about His views of the bible.

P. 767 - §4 "Nathaniel, you have rightly judged; I do not regard the Scriptures as do the rabbis. I will talk with you about this matter on condition that you do not relate these things to your brethren, who are not all prepared to receive this teaching.

The reason I have used this passage is that the sentence who are not all prepared to receive this teaching " could possibly apply to you.

The papers cover as well philosophy and all major religions, a histrory our our planet and universe. If you were to learn the knowledge in this book you would be years ahead of all your age.
