How forgiving are you?
Your score on the Beliefnet forgiveness quiz reveals that you’re always out to retaliate. Is this an accurate description of you? How can you learn to be more forgiving?

Getting even is not what it's about. The Bible has a verse that tells Christians that He will take care of that in His time. We are to leave it alone.
It's been my experience that He does, sometimes right in front of me--now that's fulfilling!

Oh, by the way, "an eye for an eye" is old testament. In the new testament we are to love, be forgiving.

IMHO, forgiveness is the release of all hope for a better past, which I accomplish by ceasing to reproduce in today's experience what has not worked for me in the past. Insofar as I am negatively bound to my past, I am proportionately closed to the possibility of realizing my positive intentions. Until I release all hope for a better past, I sabotage all hope for a better future.
