Are there any good books (other than the Qur'an) that members can recommend for people who are new to Islam?

I would reccomend the book: Islam in focus A. Habdalati(At least I believe that is his name). You should be able to get a free copy of it at your local mosque. It is a rather informative book that explains all of the basic concepts of the religion. Another one is What everyone should know about muslims and islam(or it might be the other way around, islam and muslims). It is by susan haneef. I think those two books would be a good start and there is also a small paperback called understanding islam, and another one called An introduction to islam. But I forget the authors though. Hope this helps. Gogglze
