Greetings all,

I'm hoping you folk can assist me with clarifying a few points about "the good God".

1) I understand that Dagda dies after being wounded by Balor's wife, Cethlenn (?Caitlin?) in one of the battles of Magh Tuireadh. I also read somewhere that his death occurs 120 years after the battle.
Is this accurate? Can anyone give me any further details??
I heard somewhere that the weapon used was some sort of poison dart - can anyone tell me where the poison came from?? (that is a crucial bit of info I am looking for)

2) I also read in the Courting of Emer, that Dagda goes to the magic sea which covers the plain of Muirthemne. There he fights a sea turtle of some sort. I understand he makes the waters go away, but I do not see any statement that he clearly strikes the turtle.
Can anyone clarify this for me?
Additionally, I have heard that the turtle was known as Mata, though again it doesn't seem to be mentioned in what I could find.
Lastly and crucially... is "sea turtle" an accurate translation of the term for the beast Dagda faces? Are there any other possible translations for whatever term the original text used???

Thank you in advance for your time and input!

Sincerely,
Aydan
